Focus on StarkNet and Cosmos

This post will address Geregè's roadmap for 2023-2024Q2 and provide insight into our achievements and ecosystem plan. The Geregè Journey

Our vision for Geregè is allow developers to harness the power zero-knowledge proofs and have secure access to different blockchain ecosystems. Up until now, Geregè ‘s development focus on implementing zero-knowledge proofs into Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC). Geregè’ functionality, leverages a combination of STARKs and SNARKs in the Cairo architecture to provide a trustless, efficient, and scalable proof system for its multi-chain bridge

Proof System

Geregè’s proof system, which incorporates both STARKs and SNARKs, offers several benefits compared to proof systems that use only one of these technologies.

The motive behind using both STARKs and SNARKs, Geregè can achieve a balance between restlessness and efficiency. STARKs are highly secure and don't require a trusted setup, but they tend to be slower and less efficient than SNARKs. SNARKs, on the other hand, can be very fast and efficient, but require a trusted setup. By using both types of proofs, Geregè can leverage the strengths of each to achieve a balance between trustlessness and efficiency.

We’re building the proof system on top of the Cairo programming language, which is highly flexible and customisable. This means that developers can easily build and integrate their own custom circuits and proofs into Geregè, making it highly versatile and adaptable to a wide range of use cases.

Geregè’s proof system is designed to be highly optimised and scalable, enabling it to support high-throughput applications and handle large volumes of transactions. This makes it well-suited for use cases in the DeFi, gaming and blockchain Interoperability spaces, where speed, efficiency, and scalability are key considerations.

Roadmap for 2023

Starknet is a revolutionary layer-2 scaling solution for Ethereum that offers high throughput, low latency, and minimal gas costs. With a thriving ecosystem of over 200 projects building on top of Starknet, the possibilities for decentralized applications are endless. However, to truly unleash the potential of Starknet, interoperability with other blockchains is crucial. That's where Geregè comes in.
